THE ACTIVITIES OF SAINT-CYR OFFICER CANDIDATES

CLASS LIFE

The schooling of the officer candidates (élèves-officiers) is full of significant events preparing them for their entry into the world of Army officers. These ceremonies are organized by the classes and made possible thanks to your donations.

Galas

The galas of the Écoles de Saint-Cyr are organized by the officer candidates. During these prestigious evening events, which have made the name “Saint-Cyr” known in the civilian world, students wear their great uniform and share their commitment to the service of arms of France with their families and loved ones.

Class Baptisms

Each year, the classes of officer candidates of the Écoles de Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan (ESCC) receive their baptismal names.

For the École Spéciale Militaire (ESM) and the École Militaire Interarmes (EMIA), this ceremony takes place at the end of the first year of schooling at the Triumph des Écoles.

The 4th battalion of the École Spéciale Militaire (ESM4) organizes the class baptism every year as well as other traditional activities during the month of December. This event takes place before some officer candidates, including polytechnicians, leave for training.

The name, whether it be that of a historical event or a prominent person in military history, marks their belonging to a group and anchors them in their commitment to the traditions and values of the French Army.

They will keep the name of their class for all their lives as a mark of their passage through the Écoles de Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan.
